Transition from Summer to Fall
PUT PHYTOBIODERMIE ON YOUR “ENERGETIC” FALL CALENDAR
Swiss-based Phytobiodermie combines the Five Chinese Elements and the
best of nature to create a complete skincare line for the Fall.
The arrival of Autumn is a transition in nature from the hot days of
summer to crisp, fall days; blue skies, fallen leaves and a return to
home. But to Phytobiodermie, a skincare line based on the energetic principles
of traditional Chinese concepts, Autumn harkens the arrival of the Metal
season (or “Energetic Autumn”). The Energetic Autumn season
occurs from August 8 until October 19. During that season, there are
specific energies influencing all of nature, man included.
According to the Five Element Theory of traditional Chinese medicine,
Metal, one of the five Elements, is associated, in particular, with a
season (Autumn), certain colors (Blue and white), two organs (the lungs
and large intestine), certain skin conditions (such as dull, lifeless
skin lacking minerals), a taste, an emotion and more. Based on this philosophy,
Phytobiodermie has created a full “Metal” line of skin care
products, for face, scalp and body. Metal products are designed to be
in accord with the energy of the Autumn season and should be used during
that season but also at any other times for Metal-related conditions.
For face the Metal conditions are: dull, lifeless skin lacking minerals;
for the body the Metal condition includes poor venous and lymphatic circulation.
During the summer heat, we have a tendency to lose the trace minerals
integral to maintaining healthy skin. Fall is the season when replenishing
these minerals is vital, in preparation for the hydrating products that
will be required during the dry winter.
Phytobiodermie’s line of Metal skincare products includes:
Metal Toner – a mild non-alcoholic toner ideal for the Autumn
season and especially beneficial for dull skin with surface dehydration
due to lack of minerals.
