Fire
The Fiery Summer Season is Just Around the Corner
IS YOUR SKIN READY?
Phytobiodermie treats summer skin problems with energetic products based on the Chinese Five Element Theory
Summer skin can get scorched in the sun, but not all summer skin problems come from sun rays (UVA & UVB). Red with heat, irritated by over-active perspiration, summer acne, and excessive oiliness, the skin can take a serious beating during the Summer months. No surprise, then, that Summer is the peak of the “Fire” season according to the Chinese Five Element theory. Phytobiodermie, a Swiss-based skin care line that combines centuries-old Five Element principles with color therapy and natural ingredients, offers their complete Fire line of energetic products that help skin beat and restore a healthy, radiant skin. The “Energetic” Summer season runs from May 6th to July 9th, but its effects linger.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements are each associated with a season, certain bodily functions and organs.
With the heart and small intestine belonging to the Fire Element, maintaining a good energetic balance promotes good blood circulation, which in turn yields a healthier-looking complexion.
Fire products are meant to be used during the “energetic” Summer season but also, at anytime for anyone with Fire–related skin conditions, such as red, blotchy, sensitive skin, excessive perspiration, couperose and rosacea.
For each Element and its corresponding skin problems, Phytobiodermie has designed a complete line specifically adapted to the energetic needs of each season. We do not wear the same type of clothing year round as we adjust for the season. With changes in climate, should we not adapt our skin care products as well?
Phytobiodermie’s line of Fire skin care products, to be used after cleansing, includes:
Fire Balancing Toner – A mild, non-alcoholic tonic. The Fire toner is effective for skin that is sensitive and has a tendency towards redness and blotchiness. Primary ingredients: algae, lemon, cypress, lavender, marjoram, thyme and ylang ylang.
Fire Phyt’Ether – a potent blend of colored essential oils in a grape-seed oil base balances the energy of blood circulation and calms sensitive skin. Apply before the Red Clay Mask. Primary ingredients: rosemary, lavender and ylang ylang oils.
Red Clay Mask – One of the cornerstones of the Phytobiodermie method and theory. This regulating red clay mask includes a blend of essential oils recommended for sensitive, red skin and couperose conditions. Primary ingredients: clay, kaolin, ylang ylang and rosemary.
Oligo 5 – Restores mineral content to the skin, which thereby increases hydration, oxygenation and skin metabolism, and promotes a healthy looking appearance. This mineralizing lotion should be applied daily to the face and neck areas after cleansing and toning, before the application of treatment cream. Primary ingredients: algae, manganese, cobalt, copper, zinc and magnesium.
Ceresal Corn (Day Cream) – A light moisturizer, specially formulated for the Summer Season. The cream cools the skin and promotes a healthy, even-looking skin tone. Primary ingredients: corn seed oil, lavender, marjoram.
Night Balancing Element Cream (Fire) – A nighttime cream ideal for reducing the redness in couperose conditions. Cooling to the touch when applied to blotchy skin. Primary ingredients: corn seed oil, corn extract, vitamin E, lavender and marjoram.
Energizing Gel (YIN – Red) – A refreshing and cooling body gel. Especially suitable for the treatment of menopause and varicose veins. Use during the hot
summer months or after sports. Primary ingredients: ylang ylang, peppermint, lavender, cypress, thyme and rose hips.
Fire Bath Oil (Cooling) - Has a cooling effect that is especially beneficial during menopause or whenever overheated. Stimulates red blood cell circulation.
About Phytobiodermie
The Phytobiodermie Method evolved in the sixties as the energetic principles of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) were widely embraced in Europe. Focusing on the energetic value of natural ingredients, particularly pure essential oils mixed with algae, clay and other minerals, Phytobiodermie pioneered an effective and holistic approach to skin care. Phytobiodermie also includes energetic drainage in its treatment protocols, supported by light therapy to enhance energetic balance.
Phytobiodermie products are made in Switzerland, and are animal product- and cruelty-free. Phytobiodermie is available in more than 20 countries around the world.
